I needed to replace my HVAC unit and got 4 different quotes.
The first, from NexGen was twice the amount of others (very expensive). They assured me they'd do everything by the book (permits, inspections, etc). The biggest drawback was that they were pushy, insisting rates would go up if I didn't act now.
The next two were half the NexGen quote, they wouldn't pull permits but assured it would be a good job. A relieving price cut from the first.
Then my last quote was from Southwest. Jaime, the project manager, came over to inspect and give me a detailed overview of what he recommended we do, including options for consideration. They weren't as cheap as the other two, but far less expensive than NexGen. There was also no pressure to buy anything. I felt well-informed and had the space to make a decision. Plus, they didn't charge me anything until the system was up and running and offered a solid service and product warranty.
The crew came to install the unit in one day and were very professional and tidy. They cleaned up everything after they left.
I highly recommend Southwest. If you don't believe me, shop for other quotes and you'll see why.
